I know I’ve used this line before and I prolly shouldn’t leave the word “Today” in it since I felt this way a few days ago, but it’s how I felt at the time.
Today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth…

I recently received the Liebster Blog Award from my fellow bulldog owner from San Antonio, What I Meant 2 Say (as opposed to what actually came out of my mouth…).
Her bulldog, Wonderbutt, seems to be the Ying to Savannah’s Yang as he’s always getting into mischief from wanting to eat books to stealing her bras to see how they taste.
I love reading her posts, seeing the pictures of Wonderbutt and that she said Savannah was cuter.
Liebster is German for “dearest” — I actually looked it up in case I was told that’s what it meant when it really meant buttface or something — and sounds a lot fancier than the “Dearest Blog Award.”
Thanks to all 12,737 of you who have stopped by The Life of JWo over the past four months (notice I didn’t say “who have read”). Like I tell my wife all the time, “Just click on it. I don’t care if you read it or not, I just need your click.”
As with other blog awards, there is fine print that must be adhered to.
- Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you. (done)
- Reveal your top five picks (with less than 200 readers) and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog. (done)
- Copy and paste the award on your blog. (done)
- Hope that the people you’ve sent the award to forward it to their five favorite up-and-coming bloggers and keep it going! (outta my hands)
Contractual Obligation #4
The Jackie Blog: I know Jackie’s been around the block a few times (haha) and has numerous awards to prove it.
I admire Jackie for her participation in the WordPress Post-a-Day Challenge and even more that she called my bluff recently when I said I’d be all over a Post-a-Week Challenge (I didn’t know there was one at the time). See my comments at the end of her post.
She also had some very kind words to say (blushing) about my posts and she liked the term of crack-of-ass Friday.
I think she also works for Dyson Vacuums, but I’m not sure. haha…
Young American Wisdom: She describes her blog as “a mother’s plight to find the funny in the frustrating and save her sanity. She will use this as blackmail, you can use it for birth control.”
She has three kids that keep her on her toes and give her constant material like her ongoing, “I Heard It on The Bus” series.
She’s not really up-and-coming and already has her own Liebster but you should read her anyway.
One Funny Mummy: Another must-read for Mothers everywhere. Her recent post, In My Face, made me laugh and is exactly why I don’t hold babies for very long.
Accidental Stepmom: Having two step-children myself, I could relate to JM Randolph’s blog. She clearly states that her site is NOT one to help “navigate the landmines of stepparenting with grace and compassion.”
She seems pretty Big Time and I don’t think she falls into the Up-and-Coming category, but she’s worth reading and following as well.
Sara no “h”: This is not just another Sara, she’s “kind of like Sara Plain and Tall but not so tall, not so plain and with bigger boobies.” Her words, not mine.
Her post “Whoa there buddy…” is on point and she could be a member of our “I Hate People” club.
Six Ring Circus: Annie’s the Ring Master but says she feels “like the person that shovels up the elephant poop after the show ends.”
One of her kids, Dictator, recently wrote that he likes Christmas because “you get what you rilly wanted.” He went on to ask for an iPad and Legos. Guess which one he’ll be getting.
Krazy Kustomer of the Day: This is a blog written by a Wisconsin convenience store worker and her experiences with the idiots people who stop by.
She hasn’t posted anything since the first of October so I don’t know if she got in trouble but stop by when you need a good laugh.
Ashlee Lauren: Ok, this one DEFINITELY falls into the category of up-and-coming and well, I’m kinda partial to it because it’s my step-daughter’s blog.
She recently moved from Chicagoland to North Carolina and started a blog to show how she’s fixing up their house.
She gets extra bonus points because my blog was the inspiration. She’s coming home for Christmas and I’ll help her add some bells and whistles.
Whew, I think that fulfills my duties.
This turned into a much more labored affair than I imagined, but I guess that’s why I procrastinated starting it.
I really should take Jerry Seinfeld’s advice and walk off on a high note, but my Liebster is almost done and I need to tend to it.
Thank you all…
Thank you for the Liebster! Much appreciated. 🙂
Thank you J-Wo! It means a lot to be nominated by a blogger such as yourself. I’ll keep trying to make you laugh. : )
Perfect acceptance post! Love the leg lamp! Which reminds me, I haven’t watched my annual dose of Christmas Story yet this year.
I’m horrible at acknowledging praise but started to feel horrible that I put off responding for so long.
Tammy bought me the A Christmas Story DVD a few years ago but I don’t think I’ve ever watched it because I wait for the 24-hours of A Christmas Story to come on TV. hahaha…
I bet you watch every minute of it the whole 24 hours!
Congratulations on a well deserved award! I love your funny take on life…your posts always leave me with a smile.
Thanks so much for the nomination. I am truly honored and it warms my heart to know that you get a kick out of my silly little blog. It is much appreciated.
