The World’s Loss is Heaven’s Gain

Earlier this afternoon my stepdad, James, loss his battle to cancer.

He was in my life for over 20 years and I can honestly say I am a better man for knowing him. He was a hard-working man who touched the lives of so many people in so many ways that I know I can’t even begin to scratch the surface or do him justice right now.

I want to thank all of you who offered your kind words and prayers over the past few weeks.

James will be missed terribly by my family, his friends and colleagues. I know he isn’t in pain anymore and that Heaven is celebrating one of the good ones coming home.

This picture of Mom, me and James was taken on July 9, 2011 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

James loved riding his Harley.

James, the world will miss you but I know Heaven welcomed you with open arms. I love you.

There is a Harley in heaven. I would think so, anyway. :). So sorry for your loss.

  2. I am sorry, Jason. Based on what I know of James’ step-son, he was a good man.

  3. Sorry to hear the sad news Jason, I was never fortunate enough to meet him and know him. I totally agree with whatimeant2say’s comment above. As long as you (and all those that knew him and loved him) celebrate his life, and remember every wonderful thing he did for you, and meant to you, his soul will forever shine brightly. Peace.
