With Christmas is just around the corner our house, much like many others, is filled with gifts, some wrapped, some hidden and some in plain sight.
On Black Friday I bought myself a couple of pairs of Crocs that I will use as slippers around the house. Apparently I also “bought” Tammy a bunch of stuff from Ann Taylor on Cyber Monday, although don’t remember placing the order directly.
This morning, much to my surprise, I found out that Tammy had already cracked into some of her presents that I had “bought” her.
Me: I haven’t been wearing the Crocs you got me because they are sposed to be for Christmas.
Tammy: Really?
Me: Yeah.
Tammy: Then in that case I shouldn’t have worn that sweater last night.
Me: (raised eyebrow)
Tammy: You don’t even know if what I wear is new or not.
Me: I didn’t buy that stuff for you. Oh wait, yes I did.
Tammy: Well, you got me too much stuff. I don’t want to have so much stuff under the Christmas tree that you feel bad.
But from what I learned a few days ago I may not have any presents under the tree.
You have Crocs. What more do you want?
So nice of you to “buy” her so many things and thoughtful of her to not want you to have fewer things under the tree. Hmm, this is giving me ideas!
