This upcoming weekend is going to be a busy one.
Not only is Jake, our son, coming to visit us for the first time, but we also will be hosting our friends Daniel and Dana who will be in town to run the St. Jude Half Marathon.
Last night while Tammy and I were discussing everything we would be doing over the weekend when she thought about something and was shocked I didn’t know the answer.
Tammy: Crap, isn’t Daniel’s birthday coming up?
Me: I dunno.
Tammy: How do you NOT know?
Me: Because guys don’t care about that stuff, but I think you are right it was around the time of the marathon that year.
Me: (Looking it up on Facebook) It’s Dec. 5. What day is that?
Tammy: It’s a Thursday.
Me: Perfect. They get here on Friday, so we don’t have to worry about anything then.
And that’s how guys celebrate other guys’ birthdays.
In honor of Daniel’s upcoming birthday, I’ll post pictures of us here.
You are right, we don’t care about them.
Happy Birthday, Daniel! I care about birthdays. And good luck running the half-marathon.
Women definitely tend to care more about them than guys do.
They actually ended up cancelling the marathon this weekend due to ice, so Daniel didn’t make it over. Oh well… hahaha…
Oh, too bad, but just as well. We wouldn’t want anyone to slip on that ice, because that would hurt A LOT! Safety first.
At this point, I would like to forget my birthdays. lol
Oh, I bet you could do it… OK, maybe not FORGET them, but just stop caring about them. I’m 40 but mentally I’m like 17. hahaha…
Aren’t all men?? hahaha Just kidding! I will admit to being mentally 25. 🙂
Hahaha guy birthdays – y’all don’t give a shit – I love it. And love the pics, too. You rock : )
Thanks M…
You rock too, but you already know that. HAHAHAHA…
