About me

My name is Jason. I was nicknamed JWo by some friends several years ago and it just stuck.

I’m originally from Tupelo, Mississippi (birthplace of Elvis) and had been living in the Chicagoland area for the past 13 years before recently moving to Memphis.

I’ve married to Tammy for the past 7+ years. I’ve got two step-children, Ashlee and Jake and an English Bulldog named Savannah.

Savannah’s typical stance on things.

I got a degree in journalism a LONG time ago, but found that I enjoyed laying out pages more than writing and went in that direction for my career.

I’ve always loved writing, but I only did when I was mad, sad, depressed, etc., so it’s easy to see why writing had such a bad connotation.

But after I read this post from The Bloggess,  I remembered that writing can be fun and started The Life of JWo.

A special thanks goes out to my friend B.J. for passing along the link from The Bloggess.

I appreciate each and every one of you who follow me and for those of you who are going to subscribe after reading this. You can sign up in the box just under my toes at the top of the page.

It makes my innards feel good every time I see that one of you took the time to hit the “Like” button or leave a comment about one of my posts. You deserve the biggest THANK YOU of all.

I hope you are able to find some humor in my life’s experiences.

Thanks again for stopping by.

  1. What a great picture! Savannah and Wonderbutt seem to be similarly impressed by life!

  2. Watch out, Jason! I just awarded you the Liebster Blog Award, and you are going to be flooded with visitors! I am talking at least 2 the two who regularly read my blog! Congrats!

  3. Oh, geez. I really need to proofread before I hit “Post Comment.” Should have said, “I am talking at least the two who regularly read my blog!” Got caught up in the whole excitement thing, I guess.

Hey Wonderbutt’s Mom (that’s how I refer to you when talking about you with Tammy),

I wrote something today that I can’t post to my blog due to my high level of co-worker subscribers (and readers).

I passed it around with some of my non-work friends and, well, I consider you one of them except that I don’t know your email address.

If you’d like me to send it your way, shoot me an email at jason.wommack@yahoo.com and I’ll pass it along.

Nice toes. My mom’s toes are in every picture of me during formative years 2 – 7. Impressive, right? My therapist used to think so…great blog! 😉

I stumbled across your blog via Becky of 25tofly. Anyone who gets compared to Paul Rudd gets my vote.

      Thank you for stopping by.

Any friend of Becca is a friend of mine. Well, I prolly should make an open-ended statement like that… she seems to hang out with a rough crowd at times. Must be something about all the swamp gas down there. haha…

Seriously though, thanks for stopping by. Hope you come back and that make you smile.
